China Halts Boeing Jet Deliveries Amid Escalating Trade War

In response to increased U.S. tariffs, China has ordered its airlines to suspend deliveries of Boeing jets and halt purchases of U.S. aircraft parts.

This move affects major carriers like Air China and China Eastern, which had planned to receive 179 Boeing planes between 2025 and 2027. The decision is part of a broader escalation in the U.S.-China trade war, with China also imposing 125% tariffs on American goods and restricting exports of critical rare earth materials.

Boeing’s stock dropped 3% following the announcement, highlighting the significant impact on the aviation industry. Analysts warn that continued tit-for-tat measures could severely disrupt global supply chains and the broader economy.
